Martha Glass wrote
this travel diary during her three--month stay Germany and Austria in the summer
of 1953. In the notebook, which contains 156
handwritten pages, she reports on her boat journeys from New York to Bremerhaven and back,
on her visit to Hamburg, and on her (spa) stays in Bad Gastein and
Baden-Baden.
The travel diary was kept in the family and presented by Barbara Müller-Wesemann to
the IGdJ, where two
further ego documents of Martha
Glass are kept, the Theresienstadt
diaries and the travel report from 1947.
