The German Revolution or November Revolution (German: Novemberrevolution) was a series of social and political upheaval in the German Empire at the end of World War I that were inspired by socialist ideas. Its result was the replacement of the constitutional monarchy with a democratic parliamentary republic that later became known as Weimar Republic.
