                <p>Where do you now practice sports? The club which has been dear and valuable to you up until now has<lb/>
                    introduced “Aryan articles” into its by-laws and no longer includes you in the line-up for athletic competitions. As an<lb/>
                    active athlete, you have thus been immobilized. Should you therefore give up the sport you have grown to love? No! The<lb/>
                    <orgName ref="http://d-nb.info/gnd/1025488989">sports club “<hi rendition="#g">SCHILD</hi>”</orgName> [shield], which has just been established by the <orgName ref="nognd">German-Jewish War Veterans’ Association</orgName><lb/>
                    [Vaterländischer Bund jüdischer Frontsoldaten] and which is led by experienced active athletes, provides you the<lb/>
                    opportunity to continue practicing your sport. This is where all those Jewish male and female<lb/>
                    athletes come together to whom satisfying practice and especially the heretofore existing true<lb/>
                    camaraderie are no longer available in their current clubs. Those previously uninterested in<lb/>
                    sports who, in the current circumstances, have come to realize that physical training of Jewish<lb/>
                    youths is one of the foremost necessities of our time, are very welcome among us.</p><lb/>
               <p>We do not want to poach members from other local Jewish sports clubs.<lb/>
                   On the contrary, whoever is already organized in a Jewish sports club should<lb/>
                   and must become even more active in it.</p><lb/>
               <p>
                    Those who are ideologically closer to another Jewish sports club also act in our interest when<lb/>
                   they decide to join that club instead.</p><lb/>
               <p>Only those who fully and truly consider themselves one of us and who, even if they were too young<lb/>
                   to have fought in the World War, are of a patriotic mindset even today,<lb/>
                   are not only welcome among us, it is their duty to join us. The newly<lb/>
                   established <orgName ref="http://d-nb.info/gnd/1025488989">sports club “SCHILD”</orgName> will
                    mainly engage in lawn sports such as soccer, handball, and<lb/>
                   field hockey, but also in track and field, swimming, tennis, cross country, gymnastics,
                   boxing, jiu-jitsu,<lb/>
                   etc. It will offer opportunities for group hikes, and it will provide practice facilities,<lb/>
                   convenient courts and playing fields, and competent instruction for its members.
               </p><lb/>
