Yet even in defeat a people will not fail to remember its heroes. Hands
are busy working everywhere in order to honor their memory and
preserve it for future generations. On our burial ground in
our congregation has given a resting place to those whose physical remains
have been transferred home from the battlefield and those who had to end
their young lives as casualties at home. Now it intends to complete the Memorial Cemetery
for Soldiers by mounting tombstones designed by artists according to a specific
plan for each individual laid to rest there; they who were all torn from life
too soon by the same cruel fate shall all be honored equally by us in
death.
However, we must not forget those who found their final resting place in foreign soil.
Therefore we will build a memorial to honor all fallen sons of our
which will immortalize the memory of their names. As
an eloquent rebuttal of unconscionable and defamatory attacks against our
