I hereby ask you to kindly let me know, whether you would be able to help me relocate from Berlin toHamburg. I have returned from exile 4 months ago, which I was forced to do due to climatic circumstances. Yet I do not wish to stay here,firstly because Berlin has been spoiled for me andalso because I consider it better to build up my new business in Hamburg, especiallysince I would like to engage in the export business. I have earned wide-ranging experiencein it while I lived abroad, and I also am in possession of relevant goods,particularly for the Near and Middle East and France.I have spent 9 years in the Orient.Until the year 1938 I was the owner of a well-known company in the furniture industry here in Berlin.My wife and I are full Jews.With thanks in advance for a timely reply, signed
