</orgName> on principle only admits<lb/>members of the Jewish faith according to its
by-laws. Belonging to<lb/>the Jewish faith is not identical with belonging<lb/>to
                the <orgName ref="http://d-nb.info/gnd/236077-9">Association of Israelite
Communities</orgName>, however. There are very Orthodox Jews<lb/>who do not

determining factor for <lb/>belonging to the Jewish faith is a person’s own

them becoming a member <lb/>of the <orgName ref="http://d-nb.info/gnd/236077-9">Association of Israelite Communities</orgName>. For example, a<lb/>woman who is
purely Aryan in terms of race can, on the occasion of her marriage<lb/>to a Jew,
“convert” to Judaism if she<lb/>confesses to the Jewish faith. On the other hand,
temporary<lb/>attendance of one of the local Jewish schools does not<lb/>result in
belonging to the Jewish religion as long as the parents<lb/>or the child do not
genuinely confess to the Jewish faith.<lb/><lb/>In the current circumstances the

Naturally only those <lb/>children who positively belong to another religion (e. g.
