                <hi rendition="#et"><gap reason="insignificant"> </gap><lb/>Revisiting the subject
                        of our correspondence, <lb/>I have to confess that you persuaded me halfway,
                        <lb/>yet only halfway. While I can agree <lb/>with the term “service to
                        Israel”, I still consider the term “mission <lb/>to the Jews” inappropriate,
                        just <lb/>as I consider any kind of missionary work among German <lb/>Jews
                        inappropriate. I am in no way implying <lb/>that overbearance, lack of
                        repentance or racial <lb/>prejudice among Christians in <placeName ref="http://vocab.getty.edu/tgn/7000084">Germany</placeName> plays any
                        part in this, however.</hi>
